Mechanical License Requests
(recordings)
A mechanical license is required prior to reproducing
recordings of any MorningStar Music Publishers
copyrighted material onto CDs or cassette tapes. The fee
is determined by multiplying the number of produced CDs
or cassettes by the current statutory rate of $.091 per
song. To request a license, send an email to
mmp@maestro.ws
including your organization's information, the title of
the piece and the number of CDs you intend to produce.
A license will be sent to you with a bill for the
appropriate usage fee.
Permissions Requests (reprints)
Permission must be requested prior to reprinting
Maestro's copyrighted material in a bulletin, program,
worship folder, or individual song sheet. There is a
flat fee based on frequency of use: One Time Use ($10),
Seasonal/Yearly Use ($25), and Lifetime Use ($50) such
as a permanent songbook. To request a license, send an
email to mmp@maestro.ws
including your organization's information, the title of
the piece and the type of usage (listed above). A
license will be sent to you with a bill for the
appropriate usage fee.
Photocopy License
Maestro Music Press does not typically grant permission
to photocopy. Normally, you would be encouraged to use
our Print and Save feature to download and print a
certain number of copies. However, in certain
situations, such as an educational use, we will grant
photocopy licenses which will precisely indicate a
certain number of copies for a specific work. The
license will also require that a unique copyright notice
is placed on all copies, showing that permission was
received from Maestro Music Press
If you feel that you
need a photocopy license, please send an email to
mmp@maestro.ws with
the following information:
- Title of publication
- Catalogue Number
- Name of Composer
and/or Author

use and purpose for photocopies

use Maestro's copyrighted material in conjunction with
visual images, such as television, movies, videos, and
DVDs.
